Dr. Anna Becker

Dr. Anna Becker

Dr. Anna Becker is an artificial intelligence researcher, entrepreneur and financial technology executive. Her work spans academic research in computer science, the development of algorithmic systems and the application of artificial intelligence to financial markets.

Artificial intelligence and computer science

Anna completed her doctoral research in Computer Science at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. Working with Professor Dan Geiger, her research addressed combinatorial problems related to exact inference and applications to genetic linkage analysis.

Her academic work focused on probabilistic graphical models, Bayesian networks and computational methods for efficient inference. Her research includes work on clique-tree optimization, loop-cutset algorithms and tree-like Markovian distributions.

Bayesian networks

Anna is a co-author of Réseaux bayésiens, a reference work on Bayesian networks published by Eyrolles. The book connects probability, statistics and artificial intelligence with practical methods for inference, learning and decision support.

From research to financial technology

After her academic work, Anna moved into financial technology and quantitative systems. She founded Strategy Runner, a financial technology company focused on automated trading technology, which was subsequently acquired.

This transition from research to production systems became a recurring theme in her work: applying mathematical models, algorithms and artificial intelligence to complex environments in which decisions must be made continuously from changing data.

EndoTech

Anna is CEO and Co-Founder of EndoTech. She leads work at the intersection of artificial intelligence, quantitative research and financial technology, with a focus on the development of algorithmic systems for analysing financial markets and supporting automated execution.

Her work at EndoTech continues the same trajectory that began in academic AI research: transforming mathematical models into systems that operate on real-world data.
